Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using Tikopoly.

Last updated: May 26, 2026
Tikopoly is a ticketing platform that facilitates the purchase of tickets for live events.

This policy is intended to describe our current platform practices in plain language. It should be reviewed by a legal professional before publication or reliance.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account and contact information (such as name, email address, and phone number if provided) when you sign in, buy tickets, or contact us.
  • Purchase and ticket information (such as buyer name, email address, order ID, ticket ID, event ID, ticket tier/seat, purchase status, refund status, and ticket scan or validation status).
  • Payment reference information (such as Stripe payment intent ID, charge ID, refund ID, transfer ID, customer ID, connected account ID, and payout or transfer status).
  • Device and usage information (such as pages viewed and basic device/browser details) to help operate and improve the site.
  • Security and activity logs (such as login, logout, account activity, IP address, user agent, timestamp, account, role, and action status) to help protect accounts and the platform.

2. Payments

Payments are processed by third-party providers, including Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. We also do not store CVV, full card details, or bank account details. Payment providers may collect additional information as described in their policies.

We may store Stripe reference IDs and payment status information so we can complete orders, issue receipts, handle refunds, support chargebacks or disputes, reconcile payouts, and maintain accounting records.

3. How We Use Information

  • To provide the platform and complete ticket purchases.
  • To send tickets, receipts, event updates, refund updates, account or security notifications, support messages, and important platform notices.
  • To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • To keep audit trails, investigate suspicious activity, troubleshoot issues, protect ticketing operations, and support chargeback or dispute handling.
  • To improve performance, reliability, and user experience.

4. Sharing

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the platform (such as payment processors) and when required by law. Event organizers may receive information necessary to deliver the event and validate tickets.

Service providers may include Stripe, email providers, hosting providers, analytics and security tools, fraud prevention tools, and professional advisors. We do not sell personal information.

Organizers may access information related to their own events only, such as buyer name, email, ticket status, order status, refund status, and scan status.

We may also disclose information to protect the platform, investigate fraud or abuse, enforce our agreements, or support a corporate transaction such as a merger, financing, or acquisition.

5. Stripe Connect Data

For organizer payouts, we use Stripe Connect. We may access and process connected account data to support onboarding, payout operations, disputes/refunds handling, risk controls, and compliance/audit obligations.

Organizers are responsible for information they submit in Stripe onboarding and for keeping that information accurate/up to date.

6. Cookies

We may use cookies or similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand site usage. Essential cookies remain on because the platform depends on them. Optional analytics and marketing cookies can be enabled or disabled in our cookie preference center.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. For more details, see our Cookie Policy.

7. Retention and Security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, complete transactions, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

This may include keeping order, ticket, refund, accounting, tax, chargeback, dispute, security, and audit records for as long as they are reasonably needed for those purposes.

Security and activity logs, including IP addresses and user agents, are treated as personal information. Access is limited to authorized personnel and sysadmin tools. We retain these records only as long as reasonably needed for security, fraud prevention, audit, legal, and operational purposes, then delete, aggregate, or anonymize them where appropriate.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices

  • You can update your account details in your profile (if available).
  • You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of certain information, subject to legal and operational requirements.
  • You can change optional cookie settings at any time through the footer's Cookie Preferences link.
